About
Annie-France Bowker is a textile artist whose journey into weaving began in 2018, a few months after the birth of her first child. For her, the act of creation is deeply interwoven with the rhythms of motherhood, and it continues to shape the direction and inspiration of her work.
Her tapestries draw from a rich variety of influences — emotions, colors, shapes and textures. Each piece is an exploration of form, evoking both the visible and intangible aspects of the world around her.
Annie-France's work resonates globally, with pieces finding homes in spaces across the world. She is also a passionate teacher, leading workshops where she shares her craft and connects with her creative community.
Her collaborations include notable partnerships with the National Art Gallery of Canada, Maison Simons' Fabrique 1840, The Crafter's Box, and Michael's. Her work has been featured in publications such as The World of Interiors, Real Simple, In Her Studio, and Tiny Creative Studio Magazine.
When she is not weaving, Annie-France enjoys reading, gardening, spending time with her family, and relaxing with music or a favorite TV show. She is also an active member of her local arts community, serving on the board of directors of the Arbor Gallery in Vankleek Hill, Ontario.
